Welcome to Mill City Church

Thanks for visiting our website. We are glad you are here to check things out, and we hope this is a great resource to guide you through the basics of our church community.

Mill City Church began in 2008 in partnership with the Baptist Convention of New England, North American Mission Board, and Hope Fellowship Church in Cambridge, MA. We were birthed out of Christian Student Fellowship at UMASS Lowell (a local chapter of our national entity "Baptist Campus Ministry"). As students grew in a passion for Christ and His mission, there also birthed a vision to bridge campus and city to that same Jesus and that same mission.

In the early days, our church was very small, and growth did not come quickly. However, these were exciting days as the first group served together as a gospel-centered community of believers. We prayed and prayed some more. We volunteered at various festivals and events in downtown Lowell. We invested the gospel in the lives of our friends and neighbors. God grew us both in number and in Spirit.

Today, we are a community of people from a variety of backgrounds, interests, and life stories who have a desire to explore what it means to follow Jesus Christ and to actively love our campus and city. Since our beginnings, our Mill City family has grown to encompass students and alums from UML and Middlesex Community College as well as a growing population from our city. We've been flooded with believers desiring to grow their Christian faith and others who have come to investigate what the Christian faith is all about. We want to be a safe place for believers and nonbelievers to learn more about Jesus while also growing in meaningful relationships with one another.

We would love for you to visit us in person at our weekly worship gathering. We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30am at our downtown Lowell facility (81 Bridge Street).

In the meantime, please explore our site to learn more about what God is doing in and through our church community.
